The Ministry of Works announced the commencement of works to construct Road 1107 and the surrounding roads in block 111 in Hidd, which will take 36 weeks to complete. The BD1,465,800 project was awarded to Bahrain Motors Company, and aims to provide proper road network to 147 housing units and establishment at a length of 10.87 km.
‘The project is part of the Ministry’s programs and plans aiming to construct new roads in all the Kingdom’s Governorates this year. Once completed, the project will soothe traffic movement in Hidd and will also increase safety levels for road users,’ said Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah.
The project consists of the construction of internal roads, leveling works (A) and (B), construction of rainwater network in low-level locations, creation of ground channels for current and future use, final asphalt pavement works, signage, painting and lighting works, in addition to other related facilities and infrastructure services.
